  1. When I capure my video with ulead video studio the file is very large. Its a DV format I think. 1 hour video is 12 Gb large. When I'm done editing and want to export it, what format should I choose so the file is normal large?

  2. Depends on what you want to do with it. For use in DVD buring you'll need mpeg level 2, but for SVCD then mpeg level 1.

  3. 12 Gb/Hr is normal size for DV. It depends on what do you want todo after editing and video studio will give you different options (.avi,.mpg,.divx, etc...). Since you īll probably want to make a DVD or VCD out of it; export as .mpg and choose a template thatīs compliant with either DVD, VCD or SVCD specs (look them up in the WHAT IS column at the left of the site), keep in mind frameseize, frame rate (or the system you wok with; eg. NTSC or PAL) and bitrate.

  4. Duchess, Iīm sorry to correct you but SVCD is also mpeg 2, maybe you meant VCD when you mentioned mpeg level 1

  5. I stand corrected, and yes you are right I had intended to say VCD but the S slipped in front.

  7. In that case then you need to export in full mpeg format but make sure your settings are fully DVD compliant. You can get details by clicking on the DVD tab below the WHAT IS tab at the top left of this page.
