Hey.
I just bought a DVD recorder LG RH188H, with a 160 gig hard drive, cause I have some Laserdiscs and VHS tapes that have yet to be released on DVD and wanted to record them on to the format we all love.
Anyway. When I connected the Laserdisc player and VCR to the recorder through my scart cord the image was squeezed up to the top the screen and below it was some static, not interfering with the video image though. The image, though squeezed was fine and sharp.
I think the problem is because the disc and the tape I want to record were NTSC but I'm in PAL country. The tape was also protected with Macrovision which I thought was the cause of the problem but laserdiscs aren't, as far as I know so I don't know how to get around this hic up.
So I was either thinking of just recording the film and then somehow strech the image down, if that's possible.
Also. With the laserdisc, I wanted to record just the audio track but the player I'm using, a Pioneer CLD-1750, doesn't have a remote (it was a lender and I didn't get the remote and the guy who owns it can't find it) Is there any way to get the audio track working without the remote, I haven't found it yet and I pressed all the buttons.
Any tips would be greatly appriciated.
