Is ist possible to rip the HARD DISK from a PVR and convert it to a video file using my PC, then i can burn it to DVD. Does anyone know what format the SKY+ PVR uses to store on its hard disk,

  2. You cant convert the hard disk to a video file, the hard disk is a solid object whereas a video file is just a stream of bytes; However ; I think you know this!
Many have tried:None have succeeded. Easier just to get a dvd recorder and record to that.

You cannot do it directly as in a simple file copy.

    The only options are :-

    1. connect the Sky Box to the PC with an internal or external analogue capture device and do a real time capture as the recording is playing back.

    2. connect the Sky Box to a dvd recorder. Do a real time re-recording to the dvd as the original plays back. Then rip the recorded dvd disk to the PC
