I DVD Decrypted a VOB file onto my hard drive and it was approximately 400mb. when i used DVD2AVI to convert it to an AVI file, i ended up with a 3gb file. This file size is way to big and it takes forever to load and is a pain to edit.

What should I do? I can't get premiere to edit the VOB file type, and Ive followed the tutorials.

Try using VOB2MPG to extract just the audio and video form the VOBs, and working with that.

If that doesn't work, open the mpeg in virtualdub mpeg, and save it to DV avi using the Panasonic DV Codec (you may have to install this seperately if you don't have it). DV is around 13GB/hr, so it will still be a largish file, but Premiere will have no problems editing it.
