  4. It may be saving it out as a mpeg. Not sure, i know that h264 will make it much smaller though. That i know of, virtualdub can not use the h264 codec. You can use quicktime pro. Or install the x264 codec and use megui. You do need the .net frameworks. There should be some guides here for that.

    You probably haven't chosen a codec, so it saved as uncompressed video. Go to Video > Compression and choose XviD or something. Or download x264vfw, which will allow you to select x264 in VirtualDub.

    Why are you resizing to 16:9 and 1280x720 anyway? Your video isn't high def, and that's not the right aspect ratio.
