  1. Hello,
What is the best initial file type to start with for editing, when the end goal is to finish up with a DVD burned to NTSC 720 x 480? The original video was made on mini DV tape. Is there anything better than avi for editing prior to rendering to MPEG2?
    Thanks

DV format is one of the best around for editing as every frame is a keyframe and you can get frame accurate edits. It also has locked sync between the audio and video, so rarely any sync problems.
