I'm using a matrox rtx.100 card to capture video from vcr sony slv ez745.
I'm able to capture video and encode to dvd using PPro 1.5 , but the end result as seen in the dvd, the picture is out of alignment as originally captured.
My problem is that the captured video from the vcr to the card is aligned downward as seen in PPro 1.5 capture window. There is a blank strip on top of the video, and about one inch of the bottom part of the video is missing.
Is there a setting I need to adjust? I have another vcr of the same model, which I tried using and I get the same result.
Any suggestions?

It sounds like the aspect ratio is adjusted wrong. The program may be converting a 4:3 video to 16:9 which would give you a blank area top and bottom. I'm not that familar with the program, but someone here likely has the cure. Just stand by.
