Encoding extras only w/ DVD-RB?

I've got a dvd that's a few touches over a dvd9, I could use DVDShrink if I wanted I guess to re-encode the menus and extras down but to be honest I'd rather use DVD-Rebuilder. I can't seem to find an option though in DVD-RB that specifically targets the extras only, cause I don't want DVD-RB to open CCE and start encoding the main movie for no reason that'd be a waste of 2-4hours. So basically, is there anyway I can get DVD-RB to completely bypass the encoding of the main movie, leave it as is, and target down the extras/menus only and spit me out a dvd5? Sounds easy enough, thanks in advance

If you are talking about shaving just a few % off the extras and menus, shrink would be faster, and with Deep Analysis and AEC turned on, you probably won't notice the difference.

Yeah you're probly right, that's probly what I'll end up doing, but out of curiousity.... is there a way to do this?

If you have the Pro version of DVD-RB, in the Segment Editor, for the movie, "Force No Reencode".

If you don't have the Pro version, then it can't be done, I don't think.

It's much easier (well, more satisfying, anyway) to do it on your own, if you have an even rudimentary knowledge of AviSynth, VobBlanker, and PGCEdit (not easier than Shrink, though). Depending on how much has to be saved, you can reencode the cell containing the end credits, which are often very large, and leave the rest of the movie untouched. You can reencode one or more of the extras, or if the menus are big, reencode and replace one of them.

I never use Shrink, but I often use one or more of the methods mentioned above.
