    Hello there,
I been using this software to authoring my blu-ray movies, but i have a problem.
When i trying to resize movies like harry potter, hellboy, the mummy to dvd-dl9 in full backup, i got this message from bd-rebuilder when its processing extras with vc-1 format....

this example is from the movie Hellboy 2: the golden army:
    09:45:49] PHASE ONE, Encoding
    - [09:45:49] Collecting video information [00292]
    - Video: 1920x1080, 29,970fps
    - Bitrate: 3.132 Kbs
    - [09:45:49] Reencoding: VID_00292, Pass 1 of 2
    - Encode failed. Retrying.
    - Encode failed. Retrying.
    - Reached retry limit. Aborting.
[09:46:39] - Failed video encode, aborted

when this appears it pop up a window with the message "x.264 has detected an error and it must shut down" and i click it "don't send", and on the third try abort the entire process...
    I have the latest bd-rebuilder.... fddshow....haali media splitter....windows media player 11, and i don't know what it's going on???

I have an intel q6600 processor running on XP SP3.... perhaps it's my graphics card??? i don't have an hd card... i have an ATI x1650 pro 512mb graphics card.
Can someone give an advice??? thanks....

  2. Did you ever get an answer to your question? I have the same problem.

  3. And the name of the movie is?

Also, have you done any rebuilds with BDRB successfully, or is this your first try?

    A couple points:

    1) You must use the recommended versions of ffdshow and haali splitter. Available in the first post here:

    http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=143716&highlight=inspect

    2) Check your configuration. In the BDRB folder is a little app called "inspect.exe". Run it and post the results here.

    3) Problems with encoding VC-1 are often caused by Haali splitter. Either a wrong version is being used or there is residual junk left from uninstalling an incorrect version. After uninstalling an incorrect version and *BEFORE* installing the correct version, you should delete the Haali folder in Programs.

Good luck and welcome to the forums.

  4. I should have added:

    4) Uncheck "Quicker encode for extras".

    5) If you're re-sizing the extras, that can be a problem as well (often caused by the subtitles). After trying all of the above, uncheck the resize for extras and/or deselect all but one subtitle track.

Overclocking can sometimes cause that error. If your overclocking, drop to default speed and try again.

  6. From the go I had two good burns. Then I tried "Gone with the Wind” that’s when I started getting the error messages.
I deleted and reinstall everything, and then I follow all your instructions. I ran inspect and then I fix the errors that it noted.
VC-1 to WMV9 and MPEG 2 to liBmpeg2. Everything is working fine.
To everyone reading this, the big secret is to run the very cool inspect.exe file. Then just follow the simple to understand instructions.

I really appreciate the Forum's help.
