corrupted icon on sharing

anyone knows what causes this, I am sharing my C: drive and instead of having the hand sharing symbol its displaying this corrupted one can this be fixed please

Could be that the "sharing" icon is corrupt. If you are using an app such as the Window Blinds Suite, you can change the icons. If not, you would need to track down the .dll with the icons and try replacing it or reload the OS.

Sometimes, the icon cache for Explorer just gets corrupted. (Though, I've rarely seen this in XP, personally). If you have TweakUI, you can try the 'Repair Icons' feature in the 'Repair' section. Now if I could remember how to force an icon cache flush manually...
