The easiest way I can think of, using freeware only, would be to open the ripped disk in VobBlanker, blank out extras, etc., to get it the first disk down to single layer size. Save the result as disk1. Re-open the ripped disk with VobBlanker and reverse what is blanked, then save it as disk2. Even the menus should still work correctly.

Even easier, but using payware, would be to use CloneDvd2. It has a very easy way to split disks in much the same way as the VobBlanker way, with less work.

Using freeware, your best bet would be the Menu Editor in PgcEdit. Right click the button you want to disable, click "Hide Button" - "Replace command with NOP".

Sometimes after I've used VOBBlanker I have to run FixVTS on the files. You might want to try that.

I didn't even notice that you now have to pay for Menu Edit - I've still got the free version that I downloaded a couple of years ago....

    0verd0ze,

When PgcEdit reports the error(s), does it offer to fix the error(s)? If it does, you should let it go ahead and fix whatever it wants. Then save, and test the dvd files to see if it works correctly.

One of the very nice features of PgcEdit is that it does look for errors, and then offers to fix them. It's only when PgcEdit doesn't offer to fix the error that you have a problem, and even then it will give you suggestions on the best way to handle the problem.

If PgcEdit says it can't fix the error(s), or the PgcEdit-fixed dvd files don't play correctly, please post back with what the problem is, preferably with either the exact wording of the error message(s), or screenshots of them.

    VegasBud,

PgcEdit, "said" that when i opened the dvd, and gave me the popup-window with the white-red-cross saying that something is wrong, but i fixed that thanx to FixVTS.

Once i opened the dvd again, it said something about audio, like "there are 18 audio tracks, but only one are in use" lbalba .
    "do you wanna fix lbalbla"

    so now everything works fine,

    thx to all of you
