    when i convert my avi files to Mpeg1, i just select the Videocd(ntsc) template, but what the best settings( all round in terms of size of quality of the Mpeg File) that i can configure myself ?

    Well... the templates are fine... You can unlock the templates using the Unlock template (!). Then you can change the setting for youself you think you can do it better. You can of course change the CBR to VBR and then the qualtiy is a lto betterbut since that is not the VCD standard, it's not for sure to work in a DVD player. My Samsung 611 only accept CBR coded VCD.
