I have been capturing with Pinnacle Studio 9.32 with no problems up until now.
I capture and author with Pinnacle and then burn with ImgBurn.
Now I'm getting small intermittent skips on the final DVD.
It is not dropped frames, as the audio and video skip, but everything is still in sync afterwards.
I show no dropped frames on Pinnacle

I burn DVDs with the files coming from other sources with no problems.

    I have Pentium 4
    2 Gigs ram
2x200 gig HDs One for video files only
ATI Theatre Pro 550 Capture card

    Any help please

Have you tried playing the DVD file before you burned it? What you describe sounds more like a media problem.

I'm pretty sure it's not media as all other DVDs burn fine. No skipping.
It only happens when I capture with Studio. But as I say, it has only just started doing this.

If it's not media, you need to trace back through your steps to see where it occurs. That's why I asked about playing the file before you burned it.

Try playing the file as you complete each step. VLC is good for that as it will play ISOs, VOBs and most other formats without needing codecs installed.

If Studio is the problem, you need to find out why, if it just started happening. If it's a new capture problem, then it's likely something has changed in the computer. A new program, a anti-virus program running or something else that is stealing CPU cycles. Or you have a problem with your hard drive being too full or too fragmented. Try to pin it down.
