    I used to have Matroska files play superbly no problems at all, but since a recent rebuild of Windows due to getting a new hard disk I'm having problems.

    As before I used the Combined Community Codec Pack. Playback is fine but skip playback at all and the audio doesn't play, if you leave the video rolling the sound comes back again in about 3 seconds or more.

    What on earth can be causing this problem?

    I've got the latest version of Hali Media Splitter and Direct Show, etc.

    Any advice would be much appreciated.

    try to open in GraphEdit an put the DS render Graph in here, maybe it gives some more clues

    Please attached results from GraphEdit.

    I also tried the playback in Media Player 11 and BS Player - the playback and scanning of video was fine.

    Media Player Classic appears to be the problem...
