While converting an AVI to SVCD using TMPGEnc, I get a "floating decimal point" error and the application stops at 37%.
I have tried SVCD and VCD and get the same error at the same point. The preview plays the entire clip.
I was thinking I could cut out the "bad" part, but I don't know of any AVI editing applications. I have used MPEG Scissors with great success, but it does not support AVI.
Any ideas?
Thanks, Bob

I use VirtualDub to edit AVI files, and it's amazing. Let's you cut frame by frame... try that.

Use "vdub-mp3-freeze.exe" to find bad frames, it makes a log for you, then cut them at keyframes.
