I recently set about backing up my series 5 seinfeld boxset, I used dvd fab decryptor as neither dvd shrink or dvd decryptor could decode it. The first disc backed up and i used dvd shrink to compress, it worked fine. I backed up the second disc but when I try to select the files with dvd shrink, this time it will not work, saying "invalid file path" or something like that. I don't know which program is at fault but it seems strange one disc works and the other doesn't.

Also does anyone know of a better program to compress with than dvd shrink? anything significantly faster or with better compression? thanks.

I updated my dvdfab decrypter and after backing up the files, dvd shrink sucsessfully opened them, however at 38% encoding it failed, and said there was not enough memory to process the task. (and I have over 20 GB free at the moment) I will try ripit4me but I'm not sure if it's shink that has the problem or Dvdfab decrypter cos when I updated it it did make a difference. Anyone with similar problems?

You may have to run the ripped files thru FixVTS between "rip with DVDFab Decrypter" and "Shrink with DVDShrink" - I think that's what ripit4me does, in fact.
