Showview function with STRATO DHR-4160 Dvd recorder

Hello

I have a problem with the above mentioned dvd-recorder, that i hope someone can help me with.
One of the recording functions of this dvd recorder is "timer recording".
When reading the manual, one should be able to type the showview number also, if one want that.
But, when im in the "timer recording"-window of this dvd-recorder, i cant see the "Showview filed" anywhere. I can only see the ability to type the "from" and "to" fields.
I find this very strange, since one should think the manual would be very accurate....
Is there anyone out there with the same dvd-recorder as i have, that can help me? I would surely appreciate it.
Another thing; Does anyone know if there is some firmware out there for this player? I cant find any homepage of the producer of this dvdrecorder anywhere.
I do know its made in China though.
When making a search of tv-channels ( have cable tv ) just after installing the dvd recorder, and connected it to my tv, everything seemed to work out fine. I can browse through the channels with the remote of the dvd recorder also. Could it be anything here i did wrong, and that thats resulting in my missing "showview field"-window ?
I would surely appreciate any help. Showview is a must....

Broadcast TV uses different frequencies than cableTV. Showview is useless for cableTV users.

Doesnt really matter if you cant find it.. sorry.
