The LG-4160b DVD Writer I bought a few years ago to read DVD-RAM disks recorded on a Panasonic DVD recorder has stopped reading the files. I have the latest firmware installed. I format the disk in the Panasonic then record but the LG says "no disk".

May be time to replace it. DVD-RAM read failures may be just the first indication.
I assume you haven't changed any other software that may have affected reading the discs?
