Well I put together a new MCE PC using the WinTV-PVR 150 TV Card. I have an amd athlon 64 3000 processor and a MSI K8MM-V MOBO. Getting MCE to recognize the card was a nightmare but was succesfuly completed. I used all the updated drivers and software from both the Happaught website for the card and MSI website for the MOBO. The problem is I can get a TV signal using the WinTV2000 application but recive a decoder error when I try using it under the Media center. I have read through the froums and did some research on it. I have tried many differnt things that were suggested, like installing the nero decoder or installing powerDVD or WinDVD. I installed the nero 1st with no luck same error then went on to the other two with the same results. I then got the decoded check utility from MS and tried changing the prefered decoder again no Luck. I havnt seen anything besides suggetions to install the nero or DVD software to fix this problem, which did not work for me. Any ideas or suggestions on how I can fix this would be greatly appreciated, as I am getting extreamly frustrated with this card. I will proly end up giving up if I havnt found a solution to this soon, in that case can anyone recommend an alternative to the media center software something that will have incorporate a guide and PVR functions that will work with this card. Thanks

I have a similar system, except I am running XP home. Beyond TV 4 will work with the PVR-150 without the Hauppauge decoder software installed. It works well for PVR functionality.

Dumb question, did you download and install the latest Hauppauge MPEG decoder? I got tripped up on this step, since the instructions are not clear it is necessary. I was able to use Beyond TV with it, but not WinTV2000 (Beyond TV is a much better PVR software, but WinTV2000 is much better for dubbing tapes to DVD etc.)

Yes I did install the newest decoder of the Hauppauge website. I will look into the beyond TV once I get home tonight. But I'd still like to know what if anything else I can try to get it to work with media center. Thanks
