  1. Help. I have so many of these little wall warts and I don't know which one goes with the WinTV-PVR-USB2 MCE-Kit anymore.

Any help as far as Voltage and amperage would be appreciated

    Thanks

Shouldn't it say that on the device itself somewhere?

    TBoneit,

I pulled one out of the package, (never used) and the power supply (if it hasn't changed)
    should be:

    * Black
    * Shaped like a mouse (sort of a rounded contour where you hand fits over like a mouse)
    but without the buttons

specs, as stamped on the p.supply sticky:

    INPUT: AC 100V ~ 240VAC
    50Hz-60Hz 0.3A
    OUTPUT: DC 6V =-= 1.66A
    MODEL No:EPA-101M-06

Note, mine is not the MCE version. Its an original from when it first came out, and I wanted
to test it on my Windows 98 gold system. Found out in the end (with lots of headackes) that
it would not work unless I had 98SE, which I don't. I thought I could prove them wrong, but
in the end, I was wrong

The unit still has that *new* scent. Know what I mean

  5. That was what I needed to hear. I should be able to find it now.

    Many Thanks.

I planning on using it on a non-mce system. It never played nice with MCE 2005. I could record through the Media Center fine and the guide feature worked OK. I just could not get their own PVR S/W to work with it on the MCE system. I wanted more control over the recording process than MCE gave me. OTOH MCE could control my HD DVR for channel changes and such and using the guide I could set up recordings and that worked reliable.

Having said that I could see where the MCE features would be great for a non tech type.

Now if I could have just found a player software that was able to be controlled with the MCE remote I'd have been much happier too.
