  1. When I save my video as an AVI it fails to complete the save. This seems to be a consistent problem. Then when I open the directory with Windows Explorer where I saved the avi file I get an error and Explorer locks up. At this rate I won't be able to delete the partial file since Windows Explorer closes with an error and I can't get to the file to delete it. Anyone had that problem? I have the full version 10 and Windows XP.
    Thanks

Have you tried deleting the troublesome file through DOS? You may have to log on in Safe Mode to do this.

  3. Just an update:
I managed to delete the corrupt file by not answering the error message from Microsoft, but just leaving it on the screen. I then deleted the file. When I sent feedback Microsoft/Windows closed Explorer. I'm trying to find out why I got such a bad error in the first place. I used SceneAnalyzer 4.0 to capture the original file. Using AVIcodec I determined that the original captured file was not quite correct but could still be read by VideoStudio. I don't think SceneAnalyzer wrote a good AVI file. I captured a Type1 format. I am thinking of using a Type 2 the next time. I would have used VideoStudio to capture but it would not recognize my new Cannon Elura 100 camera.
