Hello, ive never encountered this problem, when im saving an MPEG2 with AC3 Audio and use second pass option the resulting file has a problem at the end, either the audio starts to jump or theres no audio or it just stops playing. the video im converting is an AVI 23 minutes long. this started happening yesterday, i havent installed anything on my PC and I tried with different AVI and they all seem to come up with the same problem. if I use 1 pass it doesnt happen, but the video quality is not the same.

anyone has any idea whats happening?

    thanks

Oh also, after i play the resulting MPEG2 on Windows Media Player and the file stops playing because of the error, when I try to load another MPEG2 theres an error popup that says:

    VSFilter "Wrong File Version"

and i have to close it like 10 times so it lets me into media player.

Try play the MPEG2 with VLC and see if it works, it has it own mpeg2 decoder. If it works fine you have some mpeg2 playback problems.
