  1. I have an AVI file which is a movie recorded in Spanish and Englsih. When I watch it using Media Player Classic or VLC I have the option of listening to Track 1 or 2 for Spanish or English respectively.

When I convert it to a VOB video file using Cucusoft AVI to DVD 7.07 or Ulead DVD Movie Factory, the dual track feature disappears and I can only obtain the Spanish version whether I like it or not using PowerDVD.

How can I maintain the dual track feature on the DVD output?

extract both audio tracks with virtualdubmod, streams->stream list.
convert with avi2dvd or convertxtodvd and add both audio tracks.

  3. When I tried to run VirtualDubMod 1_5_10_2_b2542, it hung with the message that it couldn't find corona.dll.

I downloaded corona.dll and inserted one copy in system32 and another one in the VirtualDubMod directory. When launched, VirtualDubMod now hangs without any error message displayed.

For Corona, I used WinZip instead of Express Zip to unzip. I don't think that could make a difference.

  5. Using jimmalenko's suggested site, everything went fine.

In a preliminary phase, I created successfully a single audio track DVD using Virtualdubmod by selecting only stream 2 (English) versus stream 1 (Spanish).

Now, I'll try the dual stream solution as suggested by Baldrick.

  6. Things worked ok every time with AVI2DVD whenever I needed only one track . Now, if I want to use both audio tracks which I demuxed using VirtualDubMod, how to I define them in AVI2DVD? Apparently, this program picks up the two audio streams from the original AVI file and I don't find a way to point to the mp3 demuxed files.

Create an AVI with just ONE track, then add that to AVI2DVD along with the demuxed OTHER track.

  8. The point is I don't know how to add that to AVI2DVD. AVI2DVD only shows the tracks which are part of the AVI file you've opened. How do you add an external track? I don't see an ADD option.

In the attached document, the two streams recognized are those which are part of the AVI file.

Hmmm... You're right, my mistake. I must be thinking of the subtitles. On the other hand, if both showed up in the audio, then it *should* have worked?

Unfortunately, the only dual audio media I have was a MKV, and it crashed AVI2DVD silly. :P
