I just spent half the morning feeling pretty depressed because I thought my proc amp had gone out on me, in the middle of a major project. With money being tight as it is these days, I'd have been between a rock and a hard place.

As always, I started to look for other answers. Lo and behold, after placing musical equipment, it turns out that an s-video cable was slipping out! Hooray!

Not only that, I found two other wires plugged in, but not as snug as I would prefer.

    Stupid gravity!

Anyway, take a minute here, go check your wiring. It never hurts to be safe.

  2. A few days ago I also got stressed in a similar situation. My DVD recorder stopped recording! Nothing, only a black screen... Then, I realized that AV2 input was set to RGB (I messed the settings the day before, while I was doing some tweaking) and my VCR only outputs composite! So, I was getting the sound but no picture! But it's always a good sensation when you realize that the problem it's not as serious as you expected!
