At what point does this happen? Have you go a log of a run where this happens? (logs are in the logs folder)

    hi chrissyboy.

the problem happens almost straight away when i click to make dvd.
set everything up as normal,assets/menus/background etc.
then acept menu, and click make dvd.
after about 3-5 seconds i get the error message.

ps do you want me to copy n paste the complete log file,or a certain part of it?.

    thanks chrissyboy for your help.

    yep. Thanks.

Can you try copying The.Land.Before.Time_IX__Journey.to.Big.Water.avi to test.avi and just try that file on its own? This way i can see if it is the file or because the file path is huge...

.chrissyboy, ive tried each of the 3 files individualy without menus etc,and each starts to convert fine(ive left each until about 5-10%).

this is the last of 3 sets im trying to do.

the others had 4 files each, and turned out fine with no probs.
this one is the smallest of the set,i.e only 3 files so cant understand why the error?.

no mate, just left them excactly as they were and added as asset like i would if id of tried to put 2 or 3 files in,i.e when i started gettin the error.

cant work it out, because as i said ive done the other 2 sets with 4 files in each no problem.
all are same format, and all from the same source.

Not sure what the issue is. Can you try a fresh project (as i noticed the other one was saved)?

ive just tried another project from scratch, out of curiosity.
    still the same?.

ive even uninstalled svcd2dvd and reinstalled it,and still the same?.

i am curious what is meant by 'Message: Object reference not set to an instance of an object'?
do you know what it means chrissyboy?,ive never seen it before(but then again i havent seen any error message before either).

once again, thanks for your replies and your patience tryin to help me.

chrissyboy, ive just tried 1 of the previously saved sets that i have converted and burned sucessfully before i got this error.
now im gettin the same error with that set as well?,so i would rule out the films being at fault because ive already done set 1 and 2 before with no probs.

dont know if this bit of info helps?.
