I can't get BeLight to convert AC3 audio I stripped from an AVI file to MP2 or MP3. Is there some steps I have to go through first?

(The reason I want to is I tried to feed the AVI to AVI2DVD, and it doesn't support AC3 as soundtrack, so audio came back as "none")

Or should I try some other "to DVD" tool?

Ciler's AC3Tool can take you back to a .wav file at least.

    Really ?

It would be fair to assume that AC3 being DVD-compliant and all, that the software would just accept the audio as-is and mux it in .... or so I would've thought ?
    If in doubt, Google it.

    From the AVI2DVD changelog
Added : If an avi has ac3 sound will not be reencoded on an dvd output

so it will just copy the ac3.

Hmmm... Maybe I was worried about nothing after all. I guess I'll just have to go try it! Will report back in a day or two...
