Nope. Looks like bad media. It happens even with media that 49 out of 50 burn fine with.

Sometimes it just happens. I usually share my bad batches of discs with others and they do the same for me. Alot of the time I get a bunch of discs from somebody who says they refuse to burn yet my burner(s) have no trouble with them. Other times they get filed in the garbage. At $2+ a disc it can be expensive but critical data must be backed up and to me that is just the cost of doing business. I don't use SL discs much anymore. Their capacity is too small.

My DVR-109 won't burn these (Ridata 8x) at 8x, either. It loves them at 4x, however.

Crap media is alway's a good place to look , but ...

According to that , you have 5 drive's attached ... how dose the pioneer perform without the hl-dt-st unit attached to system ?
    That's another place to look at ... 3 on port 0 and 2 on port 1 ... something aint right ... 3 hd's , 2 optical unit's listed .

Taking a look at log , appear's nero may have go confused as to which optical device it was meant to release , and couldn't figure it out , so send error .

when you burn do you 'burn disk at once' ?

If you can't find a fix for the problem and i would check the previous posters comments about your drives - what exactly do you have in the way of hard drives and optical drives (roms and readers)
How are all these physically connected in your pc ?

Did you used to have version6 and did this work ok ?

if you don't get this sorted out you could try burning to re-wriatables first and then copy to -r or write to a hard drive folder and then burn the dvd files to a dvd - will take longer though

Some folks advocate dumping InCD. I don't know which part it is, but if you are using the Packet writing part, it can interfere with burning.
