So here’s the deal so far. I’ve got an AIW 9800pro and I’m running XP Pro Sp2. I really want a dual monitor setup. Of course we all know by now that dual monitor and AIW isn’t gonna happen. I’ve figured out that I can score a stand alone 9800pro and a much better capture card for about $100, which I’m happy to do. I’m looking to get either one of the various Hauppauge cards or the Diamond Extreme card. Right now, I don’t care which. I’ve got a couple of questions though.

I’m sure there are plenty of people using these cards with dual monitors. Anybody have any issues? Will dragging a tv window from one monitor to the other cause a freak out? Is one of the cards gonna be great and the other crap? Basically I’m just looking for some general insight.

Also, it looks like the guide software for the Diamond card requires a subscription. I can’t find any reference to how much it costs, but if its not free its too much. Can users of these cards (and the Hauppauge ones) fill me in on the guide situation?
