  1. has been using CCE for quite some time, but today, I found that the encoded .mpv file is vertially-flipped. TMPGEnc still gives me correct video. The source is an .avi file caputured from my camcorder. Could somebody help me please.

  2. at first, I thought it was the computer with different codecs, so I tried another two computers, but the problem persists. but CCE doesn't have a filter-like option like this to let me play with (or does it?) anybody, please.

  4. ??? dv-avi during capture? sure yes. the .avi file is wrong, is that what you suggest? i go to the moviemaker, and under tool-->option-->compatibility, there're some filters. should I uncheck some of them? wow, been using moviemaker for almost 5 years, never bother to look at that.

  5. Hi guys, I got the solution. Procedure as follows

    1. VirtualDub tells me the video codec for this .avi file is ffdshow video codec
    2. GSpot tells me the file is at 'c:\winodows\system32\ff_vfw.dll'
    3. go to the directory, and find there's this ff_vfw.dll and its unknown relative ff_vfw.dll.manifest
    4. regsvr32 won't let me unregister the mysterious manifest
    5. simply using the rename command to swap their identity
    6. voila, the .mpv is vertically-flipped no more, and VirtualDub show the Decompressor is 'Internal DV decoder'

Hope this post can help someone who may have similar problems.
