  1. I have some TV episodes ripped to my hard drive that I want to remove the logos in the corners. Supposedly DVDRemake and/or DVDRemake Pro can do this, and supposedly better than other programs out there (from what I've read).

Does anyone know if this is true???

I can't seem to find a guide that discusses just this topic, using DVDRemake or DVDRemake Pro.

    Can anyone help?????

    Thanks!!

If you are talking about the station ID watermark, then no DVD Remake/Remake Pro won't do it.

You need to be looking at delogo or the MSU logo remover plugin and virualdub. This will also mean demuxing, processing and re-encoding. Depending on the way the logo have been overlaid, you may get rid of it, or you may end up wuth a blurry pixel cloud.

  3. You're confusing those logos on the TV shows with the kinds of logos that DVDRemake, VobBlanker, and the like can remove. They can remove things like Studio logos, Macrovision logos, DVD Production Company logos and similar, which usually have their own PGCs. As guns1inger says, removing the kinds of logos you're talking about varies between difficult and near impossible and requires reencoding.

  4. Well, I was wondering if I was confusing two different types of logos. But the DVDRemake website says that the program can:

"Cut out credits, embedded studio logos and commercials."

I would think that an "embedded logo" would be what appears in the corners of the TV show.

    What else would "embedded" mean?

    Thanks!!

  5. Hi-

DVDRemake Pro isn't an encoder. By embedded studio logos, I presume it means logos that are part of the movie, that play at the very beginning of the movie. So, you'll see the Miramax logo, or the Paramount Studios logo at the very beginning of a movie, but not embedded in a corner of the image, like you get on TV shows all the time. And DVDRemake Pro can cut out that first part of the movie with the logo(s).

Those are different from what I was thinking of. I was thinking of the garbage like warnings and logos that have separate titles that may play before you hit the menu, between the menu and the start of the movie, or after the end of the movie. That quote from the website is referring to logos at the very start of the movie, and credits at the end of the movie, both of which it (as well as the freeware VobBlanker) can cut out. But it can't be referring to the junk that is embedded in the corner of TV show video.
