Is there any software that can combine m2t files without having to recode them? Thanks.

I haven't tried it, but mpg2cut2 may work with the append file open option.

or If you know anybody that has a JVC GR-HD unit you could ask
use their bundled MPEG edit studio LE

Thanks. Just looked at their website and they indicate that it's not recommended for TS streams.

Thanks, but unfortunately that pretty much defeats the purpose. I've got Tmpgenc's MPEG Editor which can combine m2t files and output as an mpg file. At that point, I've still got to "re-render" to m2t to write it to tape. In that case, it's just as easy to put all the m2t files on a timelne in Vegas and let it re-render to a single file, which is probably what I'll end up doing. Again, thanks a lot.
