  1. I captured an avi file using windv, it is a dv-avi file.

    I then used avi2dvd to create the vob files. When i load the dv-avi file, avi2dvd says that it cannot work with dv-avi file and needs to convert it to a normal one using one of 2 codecs, cedocida and panasonic.

    Having installed cedocida, the resulting avi file from the conversion has no sound.

    The original dv-avi file was captured as a type-1 avi.

    What am i doing wrong?

    You used WinDV to capture the footage change to adobe or something similar

    Download the canopus DV convertor from the tools section and convert to type II. You might also need to install the panasonic DV codec
