First off, I am on a Mac, and I am burning with Toast 7.
Okay, I have a four movies, in .avi, and they are thrown right into Quicktime...
Out of 4 movies, two do not have sound in Quicktime, but the same two do have sound in VCL.
the other movies, same format, have sound in Quicktime.
I was wondering what I am missing, why these two movies will have audio in VCL player, but not in Quicktime.
And when i burn these two onto a DVD using Toast7, there is no audio, but the other two work fine.
any help, please!
thanks,
veganjustice

VLC can also provide some information on audio/video codecs. Open the clip in VLC, open the Info window, toggle the triangles on the left of the Stream 0/Stream 1 lines.
- "mpga" for MPEG Audio, usually MP3 (for AVIs)
- "a52" for AC3 (Dolby Digital) audio.
To plackback AVIs with AC3 audio in QuickTime Player, install the AC3 component. -
I have the ac3 component installed... But after it is unzipped, it says there is no default application to open it with. What should I open it with?
Thanks!
