  1. after the "chapter" problem, i got another one: i've got a video with a very good quality. it's an .avi file. after i converted it to a dvd format (.vob) it looked horrible. when i watch the original (.avi) on Fullsize it's perfect, but as a dvd format i can see big pixels... i-no it's not possible to have a 1:1 quality, but what can i do to have nearly the same quality??

What are the particulars of the source ?

What codec was used ? What frame size ? What bitrate ? What did you convert with ? What settings ?
    If in doubt, Google it.

    Use a higher bitrate.

The problem comes when all downloaded ( ? ) video comes in many different varieties ... sometimes there isn't just one program that can do everything.

Are you prepared to learn a dedicated tool and all its intricacies, or would you prefer a one-click wonder app that will do most of it for you ?

Of the encoders I like TMPGEnc Plus, and http://members.dodo.net.au/~jimmalenko/AVI2DVD.htm is just one of the many guides in the Guides section to your left that can guide you through the process. Of the one-clicks I have found Convertxtodvd to be quite serviceable.
    If in doubt, Google it.
