    Hi, I need help...

    I downloaded a movie a few days ago and it doesn't play properly - it's 'jumpy' -.-

ever since I downloaded that movie, my other movies started doing the same - being all 'jumpy'

The files wont play on certain software, only Realplayer and Windowsmedia. When Realplay searches for updates to sort the problem out a message appears saying there is no addon to support the file :S

Just wondering if anyone could help me?

    Thanks

If you have windows XP, do a system restore to a date before you downloaded the problem movie.........

This often gets me out of trouble...........

I would be surprised that a video would do this type of damage, however if you also installed new codecs, or god forbid, a codec pack, in order to play it, then it would make sense.

Start by identifying what type of video it is. AVICodec or MediaInfo would be a good place to start.

I would also use codecsniper to find and remove any broken codecs.

If this doesn't help, you can still use system restore, but I think that is a drastic step at this stage.
