I've tried hard I think to find out how to do this, but can't find a guide to show me. Extracted original as bmp with vobblanker (thank heaven you're there), but the other way I can't find a way without removing the buttons (DVDRemake pro) or destroy hole menuvob (vobblanker).
Can any1 please help?
Thanx in advance, for this fine forum as well.

Thanx for the answer manono, tried but didn't succeed. I know it all went a little too fast, so I'll try again, and I'm sure this will work. It looks right.

Hi-
Didn't work, eh? I've used that guide on some Japanese DVD menu screens after editing them to add some English so I'd know where a remote control click would take me. I've used it maybe half a dozen times with no problems. So I can only conclude that you didn't follow all the steps carefully enough, because the guide works. I'll grant you it's a little bit complex, but he lays out the steps so well that if you're careful you should be able to get it to work. Good luck. -
Finally, third time I had succes! Couldn't use tempgenc express to got out an older tmpgenc, and there it was. Think it has something to do with template part that's essential. But now I know till next time. Again Thanx a lot.

A little thing in this same connection: When I remux the streams, do I have to put on subs-streams in the same order as original, to have the buttons work?
Thanx in advance.

Lemme make sure I understand. You have, for example, 2 subtitle streams numbered:
Subpictures_20.sup
Subpictures_21.sup
and rather than muxing them in that order, you want to mux them as:
Subpictures_21.sup
Subpictures_20.sup
Is that right? Then yes, the buttons won't work correctly unless you either go into IFOEdit or (better) PGCEdit afterwards to fix things. You can adjust which sub stream the button points to, and rename it as well. I'm not real sure why you'd want to mess with it unless you want to save yourself a click or 2 on the remote control to get to your subtitle language. My advice is to leave it alone. -
Bmp is changed so that 6'th subs that was saying greek now is saying danish. The button hasn't been changed (not yet anyway). My question is: Will my danish subs have to be no. 6 in line, to work on the button? Or can it be fixed with ifoedit?
Thanx

OK, I see, I think. First, you'll also want to change the language designation in the IFOs from Greek to Danish. To do that, open the DVD in PGCEdit and double-click on the movie, and then "Current domain stream attributes" in the lower left of the new screen, and change "el" to "da". That way the remote will show Danish, instead of the old and original Greek. Then click "OK". That brings you out to the screen where you'll see the audio and subtitle stream numbers. Here's where you can do what you want, make Danish the first sub stream, switching with whatever was first before.
You can't really mess things up permanently, as PGCEdit saves the IFOs as soon as you open the DVD. Make the change (if the sub says 1, and Danish is the 6th stream, change the 1 to 6, and do the opposite thing in the 6th Danish stream, change the 6 to 1), OK it, and then File->Save DVD at the top. Test it out. If you didn't do what you wanted, then replace the original IFOs and start again. You may also have to change the language name again, but when you start messing around with it, I think you'll quickly learn what has to be done. -
Hehe, nice and clear answer. Thanx again for your great help. I'm sure this one is going to work ok soon.

Looks like this guides describes exactly what you want to do: http://www.dimadsoft.com/dvdremakepro/ht_customize_menu_background.php

You're absolutely right about that. Only, this was what I first tried. But dokumentation for DVD Remake, is about the poorest thing I've seen so far. No explanation on how to get this import done. Looks very easy in the socalled guide, but how do you find the bmp or vob you've made?
I use dvdremake for a lot of things, but this I can't figure out.

What do you mean by "How to find it?"?
Step 3. Author a dummy DVD with edited bitmap. Easy way to do it is to use Muxman program: http://www.dimadsoft.com/dvdremakepro/ht_author_dvd_vob.php
Step 4. Import this dummy DVD into DvdReMake Pro
Step 5. Open your original menu in preview, right click and "replace with still" (DvdReMake Pro 3.1+ is required).
Step 6. Select block with your edited bitmap and hit "OK".http://www.dimadsoft.com - home of DvdReMake and MenuEdit tools -
Step 4 and Step 5! Opens possibility to import from some templates directories! Placed where? NOT in connection with programme itself, and not in application data.
BTW, I guess from your name that you created DVD Remake. I think it's a great prog, and useable for many things. Mainly for removing unwanted stuff. When it comes to adding things, I dont find it useful at all. And the documentation I will repeat is poor.
