I do not know step one of using Adobe Photoshop. I have a huge but probably easy question to answer. I want to use a picture for the menu background. I go to File>New and select the NTSC "template." Now, I have tried a gazillion ways and read hours of tutorials. HOW DO I GET A PICTURE AS THE BACKGROUND?

You click on File->Open and open your file into a new image in photoshop. Press ctrl+A (Select All) and then Edit -> Copy. Switch to your empty NTSC template image, and click on Edit -> Paste. Flatten the iamge so you have only one layer (called Background) and your image will be in it.

    Thanks guns1inger. That worked.

Now, is there any way to have the picture automatically resized to fit? When I did as you said, it only filled the "template" with a segment of my picture.

So you have never used Photoshop before, right ? You will have to scale the image top fit.
