I have finally worked out how to produce a DVD from my AVI files and suddenly now started to develop a problem. I have a Panasonic NV GS250 camcorder, capture with Panasonic Motion DV Studio, edit with it, then encode with TMPGEnc, etc.

Since the weekend I am unable to use the Motion DV Studio programme, because when I open it, it opens and then the Windows error message opens and says HS Main.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the programme twice, have run my virus scan, etc. This does not happen with other programmes on the computer. The only new thing that I have done on the computer is to download filters for Virtualdub, I do not know if that can have an effect.

Any advice please or can someone direct me to a site where I can get help.

Also check to see that the Panasonic software didn't change your audio settings on your computer...they don't call them Panachronics for nothing.

I just want to mention that I have been using the software for the past 3 months without a problem

My computer is now in German and I forgot the English computer terminology....
Just make sure the sound card that came with your computer is still set as the default sound card....under system properties I believe.
