  1. Hi
I have been using SVCD2DVD for sometime with no problems. Recently I have been getting the error below when starting the program. The only way to fix it is to roll back my PC and it's fine for the next convertion but the problem returns on the next use. Any ideas?
It may be nothing to do with it but it seems to have started since I installed Macromedia Dreamweaver?

    Version: SVCD2DVD 2.0
    Build: 2.0.2070.34697

    Type: System.NullReferenceException

    Source: Interop.CodeLock

Message: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

    InnerException:

Perhaps updating to the latest version will help.

  4. Hi Chrissyboy
Getting this error intermittently with latest and previous version. Having read some of the other postings I note one of interest where the person had exactly the same problem and you suggested the following which appeared to solve his problem:

"I have not seen this error before. However, can you try deleting any dnb_xxxx.xml files in the SVCD2DVD folder to see if that resolves the issue? "

I looked at this file and I noticed that on my PC it it associated to MacroMedia Dreamweaver. This is interesting because I have been using SVCD2DVD without any problem for ages and I only installed Dreamweaver about 3 weeks ago which ties in with the start of this problem I think.

Should I change the file association for this xml file type?

    Regards

i suspect the xml associations has nothing to do with it.... in fact i removed the dnb_xxxx.xml "concept" altogether....

Can you post the error from the latest build?

  8. Hi Chrissyboy,
Just for your info I have continued to use the previous version having changed the file association for the xml file to IE and the problem has not occured for 3 days. I have used the PC as normal and run all the programs I had been using when the problem was evident and so far no problem.
