?? Maybe it doesn't translate well.

I mean the type of grocery bags you get at the checkout lane.

The grocery stores I go to don't provide bags. If you want them, you either have to buy them or bring your own. (I bring boxes.)

Plastic (not like I often have a choice)
They are designed well and it is easy to carry several with one hand. The sad part is that I can carry about $200 worth of groceries in one hand.

I read a story about trying to get Americans to bring their own shopping bags to the store to help keep cost down and save the enviroment and all that stuff, but it just isn't catching on. If they want that to work, somebody has to make it fashionable. There needs to be Yuppy pressure, like an Eddie Bauer bag, or the Gap or Nike or some other stupid fashion trend that mindless people will follow. Another thought would be to give discounts to people that use their own bag. (You know that I am talking about like a bagladys' bag or beach bag of sorts, intended to be reused everytime that you go shopping, right?)

I can't win with the plastic bags though, There will be 2 or 3 bags of them stuffed together in the pantry until I need one, and then they are all gone. Go figure. While we don't actually recycle them, we do reuse them. We atleast use them for mini trash bags, but they tend to get used for passing out garden goodies like tomatos and what ever was lucky enough to make it to maturity and other stuff.
IS IT SUPPOSED TO SMOKE LIKE THAT?

I never carry cash. Too risky, I say. Much safer to carry plastic.
