I have just bought a internal DVD writer MATSHITA DVD-RAM UJ-845S
(I don't know the difference between Mastushita and Matshita??)
But I find that there is very few CD brands working on this burner and there is no listing what CD's that is compatible
Does any body have more experience of this burner then me and can give me some hints?
Or maybe some other helpful tips how to get more CD's and DVD work with the burner.
It's installed in my Mac Powerbook G4 alu. I have just finding that others have the same problems, but no solutions.

Matshita is an abbreviation for Matsushita. In the old computer days, there was only room for eight characters. So they abbreviated the company name. Matsushita is the parent company of the Panasonic and JVC brands.
I'm suprised you have trouble with compatibility. Matsushita/Panasonic drives are known to be very compatible with lots of media. Their players usually play things that other drives have trouble with playing. What media are you using? Don't use bulk or no-name media. Use quality media like Fuji/Maxell/Verbatim (TY/MCC). -
Aha ok thanks!
Well first You say that Matsushita are known to be compatible with most of the media.
And then You advice me to use only quality brands
That was just my point. That this driver is so darn picky and I can't use any of my bulk media. I like drivers that eat's anything
The TDK I tried is an old (CD 6-12 Month) so that's maybe why it's not accepted?
