    I'm trying to watch a DVD but it flickers when I try to play it. I'm pretty sure that it's NTSC. It plays fine on my computer. How do I watch this DVD on TV?

    Check if it is ntsc first, in for example powerdvd: Configuration-> Info, PAL 720 X 576, NTSC 720 X 480.

    And please give us more information about the dvd,
    is it a commercial dvd? or home made? did you make it?

    Doh!...it's PAL. It's a DVD I burnt myself with Nero Express.

    Is there any way to determine if it's NTSC or PAL before I burn?
