I have a pocket dish AV500E and a Dish Network VIP622 DVR. The problem that I'm having relates to the storage size of the DVR. I would like to take some of the recorded TV content and transfer to my PC or burn to DVD. The file format however, is a .dpd. Is there any conversion software to get to mpeg or such?

By the way the pocket dish work well taking files from PC in mpeg format & in transfer from DVR.

So far what I have found out is that the the Dish DVR encrypts the dpd files so that they can not be viewed on another DVR. In other words you can't copy the files to your PocketDish then give them to your buddy to play on his Dish DVR. This encyption so far seems to make it not possible to convert the the files to another format.

I am very interested in this also and wait in high antisipation for someone to crack it.
