Hi,
I've benn using VideoStudio 9.0 for several months and only yesterday I discovered that I can't create a video file bigger than 25GB. That's weird.
I normally do all the editing job and then output the DV file with "Share" "Create DV file". For the first time I had a project bigger than 25GB and I realized that if I cut the last part and my exporting is only a liitle smaller than 25 GB the resulting file works good as usual. If I don't cut that bit then the program crash at the end and I get a 25,1GB file that I can't open and is useless.
Of course I have more than enough room in my hard disk and a NTFS system file. I don't understand it.
Thanks if someone can help.

At the end I found out that it's a different kind of problem. Nothing to do with size limitation. The last small part of the project is a clip that I rendered with a different program, Vegas Video. When I include it the export doesn't work.
I would like to solve this problem. The clip previously rendered with Vegas is DV type 2, the same as the two others that I have in my VideoStudio project. Then I don't understand why there is an issue of compatibility.
If I take only that Vegas clip I can't export it with VideoStudio without problem. But if I added it at the two others (that have been previosly rendered with Ulead) then the program crash and I get that 25GB file that can't be opened. -
Guess would be codec problems. Without going into a really long post, the DV spec (like mpg2 etc.) concerns playback by a player. How you get there is open, so the Vegas file has something the decoder in Ulead doesn't like.
My guess would be to try a direct stream copy using V/Dub, or maybe disabling temporarily one or more of the DV codecs on your system, or render to mjpeg out of Vegas, or check other DV codecs that might act as a bridge -- I think Vegas codec might only work in Vegas. Might also try debugmode frameserver from Vegas to Ulead or to copy in V/Dub.
