  1. Hi there, i've burned a compilation of MTVs into a CDR (following the instructions carefully), my stand-alone VCD player only detects the total play time and not the tracks why so....it can't even play the VCD.
If u had one of these problems let me if its the VCD player or the burning method.?
    THanks

    What version of ezcd?

I would recommend nero; it has a full-function 30 day trial.

...and $50 US is a bargain for the registration...

  3. Thats typical of Ezcd creator version 5.

Just about any other vcd authoring app will fix that, even an older version of ezcd creator.

  4. heats, I'm not sure about vcd player but does it supports cd-r? Second, write up the steps you took to complete your vcd. Plus, include the softwares. Therefore, with more info. we maybe able to figure out the problem. Jordan

  6. heats, i have an apex dvd player, and burned a vcd with ESC5...i had the same problem playing the first time...i had to hit a button called PBC Off (i have no idea what that means...Apex is kinda cryptic, and offers no explanation in the manual)...anyways...it works fine, but i haven't figured out how to separate the tracks yet so i can skip around. (if thats possible with vcd).
    spiral out, keep going...

  7. heats,

Have you tried to play your vcd disc on your comp? If it could play on your comp. it might be that your vcd player couldn't recognize the format created by EZCD5. If that's that problem, switch to Nero 5.0. Plus, I don't know if its true, heard from a friend, that some players can only recognize some brand of disc. You might want to switch brand too.

If in case your comp. couldn't play the disc. That means something is wrong with the encoding. Try re-encode the file again. Also, what source are you getting your files from (download from internet, rip, capture, etc.). And provide us the settings for the encoding that you've use. Jordan

  8. For speed..

You could use TMPGEnc. to cut up your tracks but you'll have a pause in between each track when playback. If you want to skip around without having the pause, you'll need to make entrypoints. Jordan

I got the mpg files from , morphues, downloaded painstackingly from my 256k broadband. The settings are default from the TMPGEnc, VideoCD (PAL).mcf, a template in one of the files. The past burnt VCDs can be read on my PC. I used TDK and Digimaster CDR both failed and my VCD player is a local brand Noriko.

  10. newboy,

thanks for the suggestion...the source is already cut up files (music videos). i used TMPGEnc to standardize the files that i gathered from all over the place, but when i burned them as separate tracks in EZCD, they burned as one large track (disc at once, i think)....there's probably a setting i'm missing or something. as to Nero...i'm sure it would work better for video, but my cdrw drive doesn't like Nero at all (even tho thats the software that came with it...after a long tech support headache, and they comp'ed me a copy of EZCD5)...viva la technology.
