i have a set of vob files (VTS_01_1.VOB, VTS_01_2.VOB). These files contains a DTS audio track and video track and no subtitles etc. These files play properly when opened in media player classic i.e. I can hear the audio and see the video. I used IFOEdit to create IFO files for this title set. So now i have VIDEO_TS.BUP, VIDEO_TS.IFO, VTS_01_0.BUP, VTS_01_0.IFO. When i open VTS_01_0.IFO the movie plays properly but when i open VIDEO_TS.IFO, I cannot hear the audio. Why is this happening? I guess is got to do with some missing information in the VIDEO_TS.IFO file.

When playing back the VTS_01_0.IFO flie in MPC, it opens the VOB file and does not read the IFO file. I suspect the problem is in the VTS ifo file.

Open the ifo file with IfoEdit and click VTS_PGCITI/VTS_PGC1. If the 'Audio stream 1 status' = 32768 then change it to 33024 and save.

    Hope it works,

    Chas
