  1. I want to burn some AVI and MPEG files to a DVD-R but want a burning program where I can select the image height and width so nothing ends up getting cut off. Right now I am using VSO DVDtoDIVX. Any ideas?

TMPGEnc (or other MPEG encoders). To stop things getting "cut off", look up overscan in the glossary to your left. The general fix is to add black borders.
    If in doubt, Google it.

Tmpgenc if you have the time . . . .
FitCD, avisynth and a faster encoder if you want quicker results.
