  1. I have 2 DVD's that when the audio is extracted in DVD2AVI, it puts DELAY 4ms in the filename. When I create an SVCD in TMPGEnc, the audio is out of sync. What am I supposed to do with this delay setting?

  2. Okay,

    First question.

What program did you try to extract the dvd with ?

    2nd question

    Which 2 dvds are they?

    3rd question

Have you try to encode into a diffrent format like normal VCD?

  3. silly question, but since you know what the delay is, and you're using TMPGenc anyway, why don't you use TMPGenc to offset the audio? It has a very easy audio offset feature.

  4. I used Smartripper 2.40 to rip them.
The DVD's are Mission to Mars and Tomb Raider.

I saw the audio offset feature in TMPGEnc, but don't know which way to go, negative or positive, and it's a long time to wait to render to find out your wrong.

Then just encode about 1 min of footage to see.

You won't have to wait that long then

  6. I just thought someone would have come across this issue before. This delay issue is not covered in any guides I've found so far, so maybe people aren't even paying any attention to it. Just rented Apollo13 and it has an 8ms delay, so it can't be that uncommon for no one to have had to deal with it.

  7. DVD2AVI has and option called process WAV. When you load a WAV file it asks you for the delay setting in the filename. Now i dont know what this does as i havn't tried it ( i assume it will correct the wav file or something), but if you try it let us know what happens...

  8. just use the audio skew function in tmpgenc's source range filter. i believe a negative (-) makes the .wav player earlier. i could be wrong, so encode a small portion and c if it's 'N Sync. if not, just switch the signs.
