Hello I have Premiere Pro v7.0 and like to get that old school look! Am looking for a filer/plugin or something that gives me:
* vertival stripes that walk around on the screen.
* A nice old school bluriness
* The random white dot syndrom that old moves suffer from.
or something simular. I'd like to stick to premiere thou.
thanx

Do a Google search for "Old Film Look" and it will pull up several plug-ins and some step by step techniques used to achieve this effect.

The only thing I find that seems to give me what I like is the QT filter for premiere 6.5 (not avalebly for premiere pro...)

There is a free plug-in for After Effects that can be found at lhttp://www.forgedimages.com/AEPlugIns.htm., not sure if there is a Premiere one.
I know there are ways to manually create the film look effect. I've seen a tutorial on it somewhere but I'm at work and don't have access to my notes right now. If you are patient enough you might be able to find something on the Web. Try to Search for "Film Look Tutorial" . -
A somewhat roundabout (but free) solution would be to install Wax as a plugin for Premiere. Wax supports using Virtualdub plugins, and there is a quite nice old film effect at http://www.compression.ru/video/old_cinema/index_en.html
