Help with encoding using tmpg

I used this guide,
www.vcdhelp.com/pinoy2201sdvdrippinguide.htm to rip a dvd. I got all the way down to "5th Step Encoding All Of It To A VCD Mpeg file" The problem is that when I load the template TMPG says Illegal Stream Format. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

Do you mean;
when you load the TMPGEnc template? Or do you mean something completely else with template?

I get to step 5.

Now open TMPGEnc and load my template select ntsc for region 1 and 2 and pal for 4 and 5:

I downloaded his templates and tried to open them in TMPGEnc
from the file, open window and an error comes up "Illegal Stream Format"

NTSC for region 2? surely not. Region 2 is Europe - 50hz PAL 25fps.

Make sure you've got DVD2AVI.vfp in the same directory as Tmpenc, that could be the trouble.

Did you store the template in the TMPGEnc folder?(under templates)

I put the templates in the TMPGEnc template folder.
I tried doing it with TMPGEnc in the same folder as DVD2AVI
I get the same error on both of them still. Is there any other way to get around this. Maybe different software?

Did you move tmpgenc to the dvd2avi folder? (bad), try moving everyting in the dvd2avi folder to the tmpenc folder
